Your responsibilities
• Prepare robust financial numbers and so create transparency of the financial position and cash flows - you set guidelines, give timelines and define extent of required information
• Ensure reliable and complete reporting through a deep understanding of the business and transactions
• Provide expertise to optimize the use of the system to reduce monthly/yearly workload
• Seek continuously improvements in all areas of the Corporate Accounting function
• Guarantee complete reporting of financial information in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) – stand alone and consolidated
• Empower key decision makers to take the right decisions by providing the necessary reports/data; pick up critical situations and ask for remedial actions, where needed
• Harmonise process and system landscape for financial reporting with Tagetik and SAP HANA as the key tools • Prevent, reduce and identify errors and irregularities and monitor financial compliance (incl. ICS)
• Build up and empower a global network of qualified local system users
• Be ready to take on additional accounting tasks in a small team of corporate accounting experts - hands on support of local entities and projects (i.e. M&A or divestments, structural changes) is often essential
Our requirements
• Finance / Accounting degree with specialisation in consolidation/reporting 5-10 Jahre
• University degree in business administration, economics or similar; a chartered accountant is strongly preferred
• Several years of exposure to reporting in accordance with IFRS (incl. preparation of consolidated financial statements) and/or a strong audit background
• Profound knowledge of IFRS for external reporting and consolidation.
• Experience in legal reporting and consolidation (especially Tagetik); Experience in an industrial environment is an advantage
• Process know-how to sustain corporate-wide applications, knowledge in systems to interact with IT specialists and IT applications
• Excellent command of English and German, both verbally and in writing
• Good working knowledge of MS Office (expecially PPTX for presentations to senior mgmt)
• Knowledge of S4HANA is a plus
• Preferable with a Big 4 audit background
• Self-motivated – able to work independently with a high degree of autonomy
• Problem solver, analytical and structured thinker, a knack for numbers and the ability to apply it
• Aptitude for technology and ability to deal with competing priorities
• Highly motivated and result-oriented personality with the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills with proven track record
• Culture sensitive – ability to work with a multidisciplinary team across locations
• Passion for training finance community in accounting workshops; develop local accountants in corporate reporting needs
• Continuously keep him- or herself abreast with new developments
• Proven track record of successful leadership in projects of changes - with a focus on efficiency, quality and compliance
• Teamwork skills, communication skills, assertiveness, ability to work under pressure, responsibility,
• Take ownership of projects as they arise (system roll outs, structural changes of the group, M&A)
• Availability to travel 20% of time - primary working place is Boleslawiec, but regular travel to the headquarter Zug, Switzerland as well as to operational units if needed
