Senior Internal Controls Manager

Your new company
You will join an international and truly innovative company, leading equipment service provider to transportation and logistics customers. 
Your new role
  • Lead the design and implementation of Global ICOFR (Internal Control over Financial Reporting) Framework, which includes controls for our new ERP system
  • Coordinate stakeholder participation, feedback and buy-in
  • Actively seek standardization and automation of controls, using innovative technology and reporting tools such as RPA and Power BI where possible
  • Propose constructive and practical process and control improvements
  • Assist internal and external auditors in their periodic reviews of the effectiveness of the system of internal controls and drive audit efficiencies
  • Develop and roll-out a management decision making authority matrix to ensure cross functional reviews of planned events and transactions are taking place to select the best course of action for the business
  • Involvement in the preparation of the Group Annual Report and in the month-end close process as required

What you'll need to succeed
  • 8+ years of experience in a Big 4, including the audit of (SOX) control frameworks, or alternative experience in a large multinational in an internal control type role
  • Master’s degree in economics, management, accounting, finance or a related field
  • ACCA, CIA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
  • Ability to think in end-to-end business processes and highly motivation to improve processes
  • IT literate (ERP systems, automated controls)
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and understanding of IFRS
  • Fluent in English both verbal and in writing
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to manage relationships at various levels within the organisation
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization, including Senior Management.
  • Professional, proactive and highly motivated
  • Excellent problem solving and reasoning skills, including the ability to assess risk and translate it into an impact analysis with an eye for materiality
  • Well organised, excellent project management skills, persevering and demanding, pragmatic
