Greenfield Production Manager
For our Client, an international production company, new investment project in Poland, near Gliwice, we are looking for a Production Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure good running of Production and create an environment of continuous learning where the team can easily motivate themselves.
- Lead and support the Production Team to meet their Production Targets and Daily Production Plan as defined on the communication boards or screens.
- Ensure the production processes and procedures are being adhered to by Team Leaders and Production Team
- Ensure the products meet the quality standards as defined in work instructions and standard operating procedures
- Ensure orders are built in line with Customers’ requirements in terms of quality, quantity and shipment dates.
- Identify process gaps and inefficiencies within the production areas and collaborate with other departments within company as necessary to develop cost effective solutions.
- Analyse scrap data and reduce scrap to a minimum.
- Develop and propose robust, meaningful and accurate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that measure production efficiencies, such as manufactured on time in full (OTIF) and performance against plan (PAPs)
- Maintain the production Training Skills Matrix for Team Leaders and Assembly Operators.
- Ensure the team operates in a safe environment, applying a safety-first approach to all activities with an understanding of all applicable Health & Safety Regulations and company safety guidelines.
- Support the Quality Team during any external or internal production audits by taking ownership of non-conformities and observations raised by the Quality, ensuring corrective actions are implemented as per audit deadlines.
- Apply lean and continuous improvement techniques to review the applicable processes in production twice a year as a minimum or as issues arise within manufacturing, streamlining where possible
- Travel expectation: UK for training ( 6 weeks)
Profile:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Production Manager role within a fast turnaround environment
- Minimum 5 years’ supervision experience of a medium size team, 30+ people
- Good working knowledge of ISO 9000 preferred and quality management systems essential
- An understanding of the principles of lean manufacturing
- Good working knowledge of local Health & Safety regulations
- Qualification in Production Management education preferred
- English: advanced
