The main task of this position is, according to customer requirements, software development work e.g. Implement SAP, EPS, web technologies or comparable applications in a defined quality, budget and time.
Your new role
• Build and Maintain the server-side operation and functionality
• Develop and maintain our database layer, APIs, and other web services
• Create and analyse reliable and secure back-end functionality
• Collaborate with front-end developers and web designers to match visual design intent
• Create and implement test scenarios for components that ensure the acceptance criteria
• Usage and management of deployment mechanisms
• Evaluate and improve program effectiveness and efficiency, constant refactoring of existing components in consultation with the process teams
• Create documentation (release documentation, user documentation)
• Ensure code quality, performing code reviews, pair programming
• Organize and implement know-how transfers among colleagues
• Active participation and presenting results in team- / agile meetings, guilds
What you'll need to succeed
• Experience with languages such as Java, Ruby, PHP, MySQL, SQL, or Python
• Experience in at least one of the follow-ing: JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
• Understanding of object-oriented programming
• Experience with the design and implementation of APIs
• Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
Understanding of code deployment tools such as Jenkins
• Bachelor of a business or computer science university degree or a comparable qualification
• Good communication skills and assertiveness
• Ability to work in a team, combined with a high degree of initiative
• Experience in using the Agile methods
• Fluent business English
